Cold brewing is the new way of drinking coffee and tea. It's the art of using time and fine-tuned recipes to extract all the desired flavor from coffee and tea with fresh, cold water over a number of hours.
Treat yourself and your loved ones by making delicious cold-brew drinks.

What is cold brew? Cold brewing involves steeping coffee grounds or tea leaves in cool water either at room temperature or refrigerated during its brewing time.

Why drink cold-brew coffee? This method preserves the fruitier taste of the coffee bean, giving it a mild, slightly sweeter taste and lower acidity than hot coffee.

Why drink cold-brew tea? This method gives the tea time to develop more complex flavor notes and aromas. The slow, gentle steeping creates a sweeter and smoother tea, so you don’t have to worry about it being harsh or bitter.

How to brew

  1. Locate the three lines in the Metal Brewing Mesh. The first, toward the middle, is the ready-to-drink fill line. The second, toward the top of the Metal Brewing Mesh, is the concentrate fill line. The top line is the water fill line.
  2. Using only extra coarse, coarse, or medium-coarse coffee grounds, fill to the first line for ready-to-drink coffee. Fill coffee grounds to the second line for coffee concentrate.*
  3. Pour clean, chilled or room temperature water over the grounds slowly, waiting for it to seep through the grounds until your pour reaches the water fill line. Regardless of the level of coffee grounds, always fill water to the water fill line at the top.
  4. Place the cover on the carafe, and let it brew in the fridge for 8–12 hours.
  5. When removing, drain Metal Brewing Mesh over the Carafe for about 30 seconds. Discard or compost the used grounds.
  6. Use resulting beverage immediately or save for later. *Dilute coffee concentrate with water or milk according to preference.

  • Freeze your leftover coffee or tea in Fresh & Pure® Ice Trays for future use. Makes excellent iced or frozen beverages without the dilution of regular ice cubes.
  • Keep concentrated coffee or tea in the fridge for up to a week.
  • Grid pattern in Metal Brewing Mesh has evenly spaced, horizontal lines along its entire column. These can help you adjust your recipes if you find the default filling lines to be too strong or too weak for your taste.
  • Tea dust may contain extra-fine particles that pass through the Brewing Mesh. These will settle at the bottom of the Carafe. Careful pouring should keep most of the particles in the Carafe and out of your drinking glass.
  • If using tea dust or broken leaf tea, the amount of tea for brewing should be reduced compared to whole leaf tea.
  • To minimize scratches or damage to the high-gloss finish of the Carafe, washing by hand is recommended
